One More Song (Music)
PLDZ-2
About this item:
One More Song is a song I wrote about a fellow named Don
Fletcher. He was the father of a couple of guys I played in a bluegrass
band with called Special Edition. We used to rehearse at his house all
the time. He loved to sit around and smoke cigarettes and drink
coffee while listening to us play til the wee hours of the morning. As far as he was concerned, we
could ve just played all night long. Those were fun times. They d invite a
bunch of friends over and we d pick awhile and tell stories in between
songs. Don had lost a couple of fingers to an oil rig, but he had figured
out a way to play chords on the guitar with the two remaining digits. He
could also play the dobro and would join us in a song or two. This wasn t recorded in my basement,
but at a small studio in Nashville. Hope you like it.
