Ben Casey - Oxford Gomba
72 beautifully illustrated strips by a very young new talent, Neal Adams.
When charming and talented Neal Adams was just 21, he was awarded the art chores of the comic strip based on the popular TV show Ben Casey staring Vince Edwards. One of the youngest, syndicated strip artists, Neal started his ground-breaking work on November 26, 1962 and the Sunday strip was added on September 20, 1964. Four years later, the strip ended as the television show did, but Neal’s career was just starting. Featured here will be the entire, nearly-four year run of Ben Casey, just as they were originally published; six dailies and one Sunday. If you’re a Deadman or Batman fan, look for Neal’s early experiment with the “hidden” face on one of his most famous Sunday pages. Or if you just like medical dramas, return to this page every day for a new installment of BEN CASEY, NEUROSURGEON.
