A Spacing of Life: Searching Through Chaos
yeah-I guess I should say something about it. Let's see...it's a collection of poems I've written last year and this year. A lot of them I'd say focus on the darker aspects of life, but not all of them. It's hard to really sum up a year and a half of scattered writing. That's why it's chaotic, but maybe you'll find something in it all.
I guess if I could only say one thing about it, it would have to be the title. The poems take up the space between events in my life, and filled in the gaps when I was silent. It's not a discovery of myself, as I am still wandering and still searching. It's what I was at the time, still changing, and still finding out what things mean. Some of the people I've written about aren't in my life anymore, despite my former belief that they always would be.
You want something more specific, don't you? I guess the thing you could grap onto the most would be the emotions I've tried to express, rather than the ideas themselves, because everyone comes up with their own interpretations. I've also been told that I have good imagery in a number of poems. uh...I don't know what else...I hate summarizing things, but there-I tried.
