Tour Description: Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, located in the Old Town neighborhood of San Diego, is a state protected historical park. It commemorates the early days of the town of San Diego and includes many historic buildings from the period 1820 to 1870. California State Parks listed Old Town San Diego as the most visited state park in California. It is reachable from downtown by the MTS Trolley Blue Line.
In 1769, Spanish settlers chose Presidio Hill as the site of the first of California's missions, later to be dominated by Mexican officials and then by early arrivals from the eastern US. Old Town San Diego.
