B. Jazz.K.lipa feat. Smith & Smart - Underwear (DJ Soo Remix)
azz.K.lipa is back on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings with another fresh and rude EP. This time he’s teamed up with the successful German hiphop crew Smith & Smart, who is delivering the vocal contribution for this EP. Maxwell Smart is doing the rapping and Robert Smith brings the scratches and cuts on the tune. Smith and Smart has been in the game for a long time and has an open mind to music and ranges from beats and breaks to Dubstep and Drum ‘n’ Bass. On the Underwear EP the boys has created a fun and funky anthem, that’s gonna go down smooth on any funky dancefloor and radio show around the world.
On the remix side Jazz.K.lipa has joined forces with some of the best the scene has to offer – from Canada DJ Soo, from Germany BBP resident JiggyJoe and from Spain Calagad13 and György de Val from Germany are all delivering punchy remixes for this EP.
Following up on the successful Bouncing Bass EP that was released last year on BBP, Jazz.K.lipa is showing no signs of slowing down in his quest of putting his name to the very front of the Nu Funk scene. This EP has it all – from classic funky grooves to pumpin’ Ghetto Funk bangers – so load you pump guns and get down to these funky jams…
A. The EP kicks off with the radio friendly original cut of Underwear by Jazz.K.lipa. In a classic funky breaks arrangement with groovy basslines and techy synth – all accompanied by Smith & Smart doing their funky thang on the mic.
B. DJ Soo takes over where the original left off and adds a good doze of boogie vibes to the equation. As catchy as it is, the remix is bound to get the crowds moving on the dancefloor. The steady bumpin’ beat comes with some smooth synth that goes perfectly with the Smith & Smart vocals. This remix is also available in an instrumental version on the EP,
C. BBP is proud to welcome back Calagad13 who’s been away from the studio for a while. But he’s back in perfect shape to drop a top class remix for this EP. We can always count on 13 to deliver classic street breaks and this time with some well-arranged synth lines and some boogie basslines to go with it.
D. BBP resident producer JiggyJoe is back on this EP to do his thing and deliver a pumpin’ ghetto funk remix. Hard rockin’ beats and mindblowing tech synthlines and some wobble bass is all it takes for JiggyJoe to turn this track into a modern class ghetto funk jam.
E. As an added bonus to this EP we got a really oldskool remix by György de Val, who brings a long some real classic breakbeat and some deep basslines. It all sums up this groovy EP and once again reassures us that Jazz.K.lipa is someone to watch in the years to come in the ever-growing Nu Funk/Ghetto Funk scene.
JiggyJoe introduces the freaky sounding Digeridoo instrument, and shows us that when you play it right it sounds kinda like a ghetto funk wobble bass. When BadboE jumps on it you know there’ll be heavy beats and finger snapping funk in the place!
Bobby C Sound-TV gets busy on the remix with his signature ghetto funk sound as he slams on some big beats and some top class electro synthlines. Funkanomics always delivers and this time is no exception as they bring along some funky guitar, boogie bass and some really huge build-ups.
The rest of the EP falls along the same lines of the previous compilations as JiggyJoe ghetto funks some of the great classics in popular music. You’ll find a crafty mash-up between Eye of a Tiger and Sweet Dreams
